The twistlocks have been tested by the independent laboratory, SGS
in the UK, and found to have an ultimate breaking strength of 38T
Safety
A top lifted stack of four 40ft @ 5 tonnes tare puts a static load
of up to 3.75 tonnes in each twistlock and a 7 high stack of 20fts
of 2.7 tonnes tare puts up to 4.1 tonnes in each twistlock,. The
safety factor is very substantial.
One Piece Forging
The twistlocks lifting element is made as a single one piece forging
from high tensile grade 50 steel and has no welded component functioning
in the lifting operation.
400,000 In Service
There are 80,000 Domino flatracks in service and several thousand
platforms using these twistlocks, some of which have been in service
for more than 24 years.

Classification
and CSC
Each and every Domino flatrack is inspected by a Classification Society
inspector during production in compliance with the Container Safety
Convention as well as receiving design approval by those societies
before production. The designs including the twistlocks have been
certified by the following classification societies:- ABS, BV, Lloyds
Register of Shipping, IN, Marine Services USA, Germanischer Lloyd
and other local services. World-wide
Spare Parts
Our spare parts are permanently available off the shelf, as they
have been for more than 20 years. This vital support provides users
